PT Solutions Tampa: More Than Just Physical Therapy
PT Solutions is proud to serve the Tampa area as one of the city’s leading physical therapy providers. Our physical therapists provide advanced clinical treatment using the latest evidence-based research to help our patients remain in motion throughout all phases of injury and recovery. While PT Solutions currently serves the state of Florida with 21 metro Tampa locations and 40 locations across the state, we have worked diligently over the past several years to expand as a nationwide provider with more than 200 locations across 20 different states. We partner with local high school sports teams, work with professional athletes, sponsor community events, and provide our services beyond the walls of our clinics. This enables PT Solutions to be a part of the many communities in which we serve.
PT Solutions has a unique advantage when it comes to the physical therapy industry in Tampa. We are able to keep a small private practice feel to our clinics while setting industry standards with the help of our nation-wide network of clinics across the United States. Collectively, our Tampa area therapists have over 100 years of combined experience in the field. As a result, our therapists have unique perspectives and insights as they travel a parallel path from injury to independence with their patients. Our dedication to one-on-one care bridges the gap between patients hurting and patients healing. Our residency-trained and orthopedically certified physical therapists provide the highest level of technical skill in our clinics. All of our patients walk through our doors with expectations for themselves and for their care, and it is our mission to exceed these expectations everyday.
For many of our physical therapists and athletic trainers, one of the most rewarding aspects of their career is to be a part of the sports community around them. Our partnership with Florida Hospital allows PT Solutions to extend services beyond our clinics and even into local sports arenas. PT Solutions therapists and athletic trainers work with local high school athletic programs to prevent concussions by proactively educating coaches, parents, and staff on concussion awareness and return-to-play protocols. We make sure that our clinical experts are made available to these athletes year-round.
Extended Physical Therapy Programs
Our clinics offer a suite of physical therapy services including speech therapy, occupational therapy, pediatric rehabilitation services, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise programs, dry-needling, and aquatic therapy. Beyond these services, our Trinity clinic offers therapists that are certified in Titleist Golf Fitness. Titleist Golf Fitness certification is an evidenced-based, educational pathway designed to teach industry professionals how to increase player performance through a deep understanding of how the body functions during a golf swing. In addition, our Trinity clinic also has therapists that are certified in KT Taping. KT Taping is a strategy that helps reduce pain by using elastic sports and fitness tape designed for muscle, ligament, and tendon pain relief and support.
Our Trinity clinic also offers services for concussion management as well vertigo and vestibular rehabilitation. In addition to these extended services offerings, the clinic also opens early and closes late to accommodate our patients and their busy schedules. Our Trinity clinic director lives within a few minutes of the office, allowing for shared experiences with our patients when it comes to the Tampa community.
The Residency Program At PT Solutions
Florida residents pursuing a career in physical therapy have a unique opportunity with PT Solutions. The distance model Orthopaedic Residency Program offered by PT Solutions allows for aspiring physical therapists to immerse themselves into the field with the state’s leading physical therapy practice. This program is credentialed by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education.
The program includes an integrated approach to physical therapy firmly rooted in research and practice with didactic lectures, clinical mentorships and clinical research models. Through this program, our goal is to produce therapists prepared to take the Board of Physical Therapy Specialties test to become orthopaedic clinical specialists. Along with this goal, we want our therapists to become a part of the Tampa community, assisting in both injury prevention and treatment throughout the greater Tampa area.
Our Residency Program faculty consists of clinical experts in the orthopaedic physical therapy field who possess superior technical skills in the areas of evaluation, manual treatment, advanced therapeutic exercise, and training methods. Our faculty includes therapists who have developed and managed private practices, hospitals, professional sports medicine programs, as well as running, cycling and triathlon assessments and training programs. The PT Solutions Residency program instructors include Board Certified Specialists, Residency and Fellowship graduates, business owners, and orthopaedic surgeons who enhance the overall impact on life-long learning and skill development. Education in the Community
Continuing education is crucial to the physical therapy industry. Our clinical experts remain up-to-date on the latest physical therapy research and sports medicine. We empower them to become leading voices within the physical therapy community. In doing so, many of our clinical experts have written articles and studies on proper treatment for injuries sustained during sports training and performance such as low back pain, tennis elbow, and spinal stenosis.
Another example of PT Solutions’ commitment to education is the development of the PT Solutions’ Concussion Centers. We have opened Concussion Centers across the country with dedicated dark rooms for patient comfort during treatment. We also partner with the Concussion Legacy Foundation, a national leader in the study, treatment, and prevention of the effects of brain trauma in athletes. Our team of over 100 certified athletic trainers uses Concussion Legacy Foundation’s Team Up Against Concussions program to work directly with local high school and college athletes to help develop effective concussion protocols when brain injuries arise. Our athletic trainers work with parents and local recreational teams all the way up to professional sport teams and their coaches to proactively educate athletes about concussion prevention and return-to-play protocols.
