Alyssa Brussee, OTD, OTR/L holds a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) from Nova Southeastern University in Tampa, Florida. Her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida is a Bachelor’s in Health Sciences with concentrations in the Biology of Aging and Social & Behavioral Health. She completed a doctoral residency in the specialized practice area of seating and mobility and is passionate about meeting her clients’ lifestyle goals and unique positioning and mobility needs through custom-tailored manual and power wheelchairs and other assistive technology devices. In addition to seating and mobility, Alyssa is passionate about whole-person care. She utilizes a biopsychosocial approach with all of her clients to address physical health, mental health, cognitive function, and social support in order to promote holistic wellness and empower them to live fulfilling lives. She has experience working in diverse practice settings including pediatrics, mental health, acute care, and outpatient rehabilitation, and loves that PT Solutions affords her the opportunity to work with people in all ages and stages of life.
Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys spending her free time mountain biking, kayaking, cooking, traveling, and working at her family’s apple orchard, Jeter Mountain Farm.
