Originally from Petoskey, Michigan, Andrew attended Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) and received a bachelor’s degree in biology. While attending MVNU, Andrew played four years of college baseball and developed a passion for treating overhead athletes and sports injuries. Andrew then attended Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI, and received his doctorate in physical therapy. After graduation, Andrew and his wife moved to east Tennessee, where he completed an orthopedic residency program and passed his boards to become an orthopedic specialist. Andrew and his wife are now back in Michigan to stay and are excited about being closer to family.
What Andrew enjoys about physical therapy is the opportunity to promote healing and wellness in people’s lives, which gives them the confidence to take their health into their own hands. Andrew likes hearing people’s stories and participating in their life and wellness journey. Andrew’s goal is for individuals to return to wellness while laughing, having fun, and feeling heard and cared for. Andrew wants to be a lifelong resource and friend that people feel comfortable reaching out to after finishing physical therapy.
