Clinic Director

Alexis Lowery, PT, DPT, OCS, CMTPT, serves as the Clinic Director of PT Solutions Hapeville. She received her doctoral degree in physical therapy from Emory University where she graduated with Highest Honors. Her alma mater is the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. GO HEELS!

While at Emory, Alexis developed a love for community outreach in physical therapy. Her research at Emory University, which explored physical therapy practice in underserved populations, was selected for presentation at the 84th Annual Georgia Public Health Association Conference in 2013 and subsequently published in the Journal of Allied Health. Alexis’ passion for outreach extends to her patient care as she promotes a lifestyle of wellness with her patients. She helps them transition from injury to recovery through education on the benefits of physical activity and healthy movement patterns. Alexis believes physical therapy practice is a unique, individualized plan to facilitate recovery, promote body awareness, and encourage wellness. She strives not only to take her patients out of pain, but to help them return to their passions.

Alexis has a special interest in treating the spine and has pursued advanced training in manual osteopathic techniques with a focus on spinal and pelvic girdle dysfunctions. She attributes spinal movement, impaired motor control, and posture as driving forces of predisposition to injury. Alexis is an Orthopedic Section Member of the American Physical Therapy Association and a member of the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia. She is also trained in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA).

Alexis often spends her weekend cycling on the Silver Comet Trail, playing basketball, touring art galleries, or indulging in the taste of Atlanta. Alexis is a self-proclaimed foodie who loves cooking and exploring the local treats of the city.
