December 4, 2019
A recent study by PT Solutions Physical Therapist Garrett Szydlowski, PT, DPT, titled “Electroskip Auditory Biofeedback in a Patient with Parkinson Disease” has been published in Journal of Exercise Rehabilitation. The case study was conducted to observe the effects of a rehabilitation program with a device called Electroskip that produces real-time auditory feedback in a Parkinson disease patient. The study, which was comprised of a 6-week rehabilitation program, concluded that Electroskip technology may be beneficial for improving gait and balance in a patient with moderate Parkinson disease.
After graduating from Daemen College in Buffalo, NY in 2017, Szydlowski has been lending his knowledge of orthopaedic physical therapy to clinics in Florida and more recently in Lodi, California as a traveling physical therapist with PT Solutions since March 2019. He has a passion for treating alignments of the spine with specialized training from The McKenzie Institute USA and plans to grow his career as a physical therapist by becoming both an orthopaedic certified specialist (OCS) and a therapist certified in mechanical diagnosis and therapy (MDT).
