Q: How are your physical therapists trained?
A: Physical therapists are required by law to graduate from an accredited physical therapy program. Today, potential physical therapists study at the doctoral level, after completing their undergraduate studies in the basic sciences. For a therapist to enter the physical therapy field, a doctorate degree is now required.
Q: Are your physical therapists licensed?
A: By law, PT Solutions requires our physical therapists and physical therapist assistants to be licensed by respective state boards. All states require continuing education and ethics courses for therapists to maintain their respective licenses.
Q: Do I need a prescription for therapy, or can I just schedule an appointment?
A: In most cases, you must have a written prescription to be evaluated by a Physical Therapist.

A: PT Solutions usually offers same-day appointments, or at least within 24 hours of referral. Our clinics offer early morning and evening hours to accommodate our patients.
Q: Will my insurance cover physical therapy?
A: PT Solutions is a participating provider for most insurance plans, including Medicare, Tricare and Blue Cross Blue Shield. After you schedule your first appointment, PT Solutions verifies your physical therapy benefits. We work with you to ensure the appropriate benefit coverage.

Q: Does PT Solutions accept auto accident coverage?
A: We accept assignment of benefits in most auto accident claims. Our staff will work with you and the parties involved to ensure coverage of necessary physical therapy.
Q: What should I expect during my first visit?
A: When you first arrive for your appointment, you must complete the appropriate forms and Privacy Act paperwork. A PT Solutions’ physical therapist will review the information provided by your referring physician and examine your medical history along with your current pain or dysfunction. Based on this information, your therapist will perform initial physical therapy evaluation, develop an individualized treatment plan and begin intervention.
Any copays, coinsurance or deductible amount will be collected at the time of each visit. If necessary please confirm your out of pocket potential with your insurance company. As a courtesy our team will also verify your insurance benefit to confirm any payment that is owned at the time of service.
Q: Can I download the new patient paperwork before my first appointment?
A: Depending on your location, forms may vary. Please check with your specific location regarding required paperwork.
Q: How long will my appointment take?
A: Appointments typically last 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the involvement and severity of your impairment. Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes early for your first appointment to complete necessary paperwork.
Q: Will I have to wait?
A: At PT Solutions, we ensure that you will not wear out the chairs in our waiting rooms. We are driven by customer service and value your time as much as you do.
Q: What should I wear to my appointment?
A: Depending on the area of your body being treated, you should wear comfortable and loose-fitting clothing that you would typically exercise in. We offer space and privacy to change if you are coming directly from work or school.
Q: Will you communicate with my physician?
A: PT Solutions takes pride in its relationships with referring physicians. Our therapists communicate with your physician about changes in treatment plans and return visits to the physician, or when unforeseen issues related to treatment are discovered.
