Adding 5K to Cartersville Duathlon to expose more athletes to the world of multi-endurance events
The 2014 multi-sport season is only a few weeks away, and it all starts with the PT Solutions Physical Therapy Cartersville Duathlon. Taking place at Dellinger Park in Cartersville, Georgia, endurance athletes from around the Southeast will be greeted with a number of race participant enhancements including a cash prize to the top three overall male and female duathlon finishers and addition of the Duathlon Dash 5K.
The 2014 Cartersville Duathlon is excited to announce the addition of the Duathlon Dash 5K Race. The 5K route beginning and ending at Dellinger Park offers race participants a flat, fast and fun running experience while providing scenic views of Cartersville farmland.
In commenting on adding a 5K aspect to the 2014 Cartersville Duathlon, Dale Yake, CEO and Founder of PT Solutions and PTS Sports, said: “The goal is to open the Cartersville Duathlon to larger portion of the community. Each year, we see a number of people watching their family and friends cross the finish line, and it is our hope to turn some of those spectators into participants.” Yake goes on the say, “The duathlon will maintain its competitive edge amongst the elites who eye podium status.”
Giving back to the community is an important goal of the Cartersville Duathlon. A portion of the funds collected from this year’s duathlon will be donated to the Bartow / Polk County Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
