I am paid on a salaried basis. Will my per pay period salary earnings change with the transition to bi-weekly payrolls?
Yes. Your per pay period salary earnings will now be calculated based on 26 pay periods rather than 24, which means that your per pay period earnings will be reduced, however you will have 2 additional payrolls per year. For example, given a salary of $60,000:
- Current bi-monthly: $2,500.00 per pay period, 24 pay periods/year
- PT Solutions bi-weekly: $2,307.69 per pay period, 26 pay period/year
Please note that in both cases, the gross salary paid to you for the calendar year is $60,000 (i.e., the annual wages are not impacted by the pay calendar).
