“Very disappointing experience with PT Solutions. My husband had just had a full knee replacement and we expected careful, one-on-one physical therapy (PT). During one session, the physical therapist appeared distracted while treating multiple patients and moved my husband’s knee in a way that caused significant pain. After that session, he actually had more pain than he experienced during the first nine days after surgery. The receptionist, Mel, was extremely pushy and overbearing about scheduling. She repeatedly pressured us to schedule appointments three times a week even after we explained that we were uncomfortable, and she loudly confronted us in front of other patients, which was embarrassing and unprofessional. She had assured us that cancelling appointments was simple by call or text. We sent a text to cancel as instructed, but the next day she left a voicemail saying they had not heard from us and asking if we could come in two hours later. We still have the text confirming we notified them. The facility itself is extremely small and overcrowded. There isn’t enough seating for waiting patients, therapists discuss personal health information within earshot of others, and there is barely enough room to perform exercises without being in someone else’s way. The lack of privacy was concerning. Because of these issues, we switched to a different knee replacement PT clinic after our second session. Patients recovering from knee replacement surgery deserve careful, focused attention, and unfortunately that was not our experience here. TLDR: Our experience with PT Solutions made my husband’s knee replacement recovery worse due to a distracted therapist, pushy staff, a tiny overcrowded facility with no privacy, and poor communication about cancellations. We switched to a different knee replacement PT clinic after just two sessions.”
