“UPDATE 11 November 2025 I "graduated" from PT today! This means much to me. It signals the end of 2-1/2 years of PT for three separate but contiguous issues: invasive neck surgery, lower back fusion, and a broken long bone in the foot (metatarsal). All incapacitated me more or less. All received expert attention for diagnosis, surgery, and post-op treatment. None of that was as hard as PT. Pain is nothing compared to self-control under difficult PT. For this I have to thank the team at #PTSolutionsofJilesRoad in Kennesaw. These professionals (all PhD-level experts, or those about to be) worked tirelessly through my complaints and aggravations, made adjustments when needed or requested, and provided me personal coaching and take home packages. They were demanding but fair, realistic while challenging, and compassionate when needed. Three years ago I could barely stay upright if I jumped off a wall. Now I’m several standard deviations better than men in my age group, and in some cases better than the median value of men 10-15 years younger. There’s nothing like having strength and stamina, confidence, and pain-free motion for hiking, motorsports, or clambering on old armored fighting vehicles. Or for boot-scooting/waltzing/rock-and-rolling bogies! Yes, that’s a large team, but they’re scattered over 130 weeks, usually twice per week. All of these people did their utmost to help me be successful at what I wanted. I won’t use the word best. It is overused. But all these folks showed the qualities of excellence that I’ve come to appreciate over many years elsewhere. And today I am done, for as long as I stay out of trouble. I am thankful but wistful, because I will miss their caring professionalism. And so I bid them Au Revoir- until we meet again. And a hearty Thank You. When I needed treatment for a new dysfunction, they delivered quickly and consistently, making sure I am as ready as possible for an upcoming surgical intervention. My wife has chosen to start there as soon as her surgeon clears her for PT. And Mari keeps me organized and on schedule. Well done to the whole team.”
