Coronavirus and our Communities

The safety and well-being of our patients and team members always comes first at PT Solutions.

In light of the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments, we are committed to following updates and keeping patients, team members, and communities in the PTS Family informed and safe. PT Solutions is monitoring all updates from the CDC and other credible agencies related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and working alongside our hospital partners and team members to provide the best care and communication during this time. According to the CDC, the risk to the general population is low but we are using an overabundance of caution to protect the health and safety of our patients, team members, and community.

What you should know:

  • Our clinics remain open and continue to serve our patients and communities. We are taking precautions by following CDC guidelines and offering 1:1 treatment times to minimize exposure while maximizing therapeutic benefits.
  • Our routine cleaning standards in the clinic already meet CDC guidelines but we are taking extra precautions to maintain safe and healthy treatment environments. This includes, but is not limited to, employee education on appropriate sanitization methods, proper hand hygiene, and encouragement to stay home when showing any symptoms of illness.
  • We are adhering to all protocols and procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • To better protect patients and team members, we are screening each patient at check-in and asking that patients not bring guests and family members to their appointments. Only visitors deemed necessary to the patient’s care and well-being are permitted to enter our clinics, and all visitors will be screened.
  • As an additional resource for information, we’ve also launched this devoted webpage for all updates and developments within our practice. Please check back here for updates from the clinics.
  • Telehealth is coming. In the coming days we will make Telehealth virtual appointments available as an alternative for our patients who are currently unable to be seen due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This will allow patients to be seen by their physical therapist in the comfort and safety of their own home when appropriate. Learn more about Telehealth Virtual Appointments here.

The situation is changing rapidly; we will continue to keep you informed any changes our offices are making to accommodate patient needs and community safety. We encourage everyone to stay vigilant and take proper precautions to maintain the health and well-being of themselves and their families.

Staying Well

The most effective way to stay healthy and minimize spread of infection is to follow best health practices as recommended by the CDC :

  • Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
    • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  • Follow CDC’s recommendations for using a facemask.
    • CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including COVID-19.
    • Facemasks should be used by people who show symptoms of COVID-19 to help prevent the spread of the disease to others. The use of facemasks is also crucial for health workers and people who are taking care of someone in close settings (at home or in a health care facility).
