“The people who work at PT Solutions in Dalton are wonderful and they get full stars. However, I cannot recommend PT Solutions due to their cost and billing practices. My family and I have used PT Solutions for years, always paying a copay. However, at the start of the new year, I was informed that ONE post-knee surgery appointment would cost $850. After digging into this and speaking with my insurance, I learned it’s because PT Solutions is part of the AdventHealth hospital system and is considered outpatient treatment. Therefore, instead of paying my usual $25 for an in-office visit, I would be charged $850. I asked about a self-pay option, but was told that’s only available if you’re denied insurance. Trying to find a way to continue working with Shelley, the therapist I had experience with and enjoyed working with, I was either forced to leave or pay an outrageous price. I was not aware it’s considered outpatient treatment. My advice: check with your insurance to understand the cost difference before scheduling an appointment. I was forced to switch to a new physical therapy practice on Reed Road, and in the end, I’m very happy with the switch. I receive more hands-on therapy for a whole lot less cost. Note: I understand being a business you have to make money but $850 a session is unreasonable especially with so called good insurance. It is clear advent is about profits in my opinion.”
