Monday, June 10th, Georgia State University students started their clinical internships with PT Solutions, which lasted through August 2nd. GSU students were assigned to various clinics throughout the Metro Atlanta area, and during their internship, the students learned an array of skills necessary to the physical therapy profession, which included: manual treatment, sports medicine, dry needling, injury prevention, and marketing.
Intern David Shields, who was assigned to the Acworth clinic under the mentorship of Tye Marr, PT, shared his experience with PT Solutions:
I just wanted to thank you for giving me and my classmates the opportunity this summer to learn from the wonderful clinical instructors at PT Solutions. The skills and values that your company and staff espouses is an inspiration to the future of physical therapy. I truly enjoyed my learning experiences with PT Solutions, Tye, Laura, Nicole, Daniel, Carolyne and the rest of the PT Solutions team. I was particularly impressed at the warm and friendly demeanor each person at PT Solutions showed towards the patients, students, and each other. I look forward to staying in contact and maintaining a professional relationship with PT Solutions beyond my clinical experience. Thank you again for a fantastic learning experience!
