Caitlin McKernan, PT, DPT serves as the Clinic Director at PT Solutions of Beaumont Village in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Texas State University in 2014 where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science with a concentration in Pre-Physical Therapy. She went on to study at The University of Texas Medical Branch where she graduated with her Doctor of Physical therapy in 2018. Since completing her doctoral degree, Caitlin has taken many courses through the Manual Therapy Institute to fine-tune her clinical reasoning, evaluation and treatment skills. She utilizes a movement science impairment approach to create individualized treatment plans to help patients reach their specific goals and function with less pain.
Caitlin has extensive experience providing comprehensive, compassionate, and evidenced-based care for a variety of conditions in patients of all ages, ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, but she has a special passion for working with those experiencing chronic pain and spinal dysfunction. However, as an ex-competitive gymnast, she also loves working with the athletes and weekend warriors of the community. Caitlin prides herself in staying up to date with current research and taking a whole-body approach to recovery.
Outside of work, Caitlin loves to enjoy all the pacific northwest has to offer, attend live music shows, travel, and spend time with her loved ones and dog, Rigby!
