Your First Visit

What To Expect

Your first visit is all about planning and assessment. It’s where your therapist will get to know you and create a treatment plan based on your condition and specific goals.

Your physical therapist will begin by listening. They’ll want to learn about you and your condition. They will ask specific questions about your issue, cover any general medical history, and begin to help you identify the outcomes you want to achieve.

The next portion of your visit will be the initial evaluation. Here your therapist will guide you through a series of movements to assess joint mobility and muscle strength. Your plan of care will be based on this evaluation in combination with your goals.

Once your therapist creates your treatment plan, you will then work with a Patient Services Coordinator at the front desk to create a schedule that’s both flexible and optimizes your treatments.
