Esther Stafford OTR/L CHT graduated from the University of Kansas in 1983 with a degree in Occupational Therapy. Esther has worked full time in Inpatient and Outpatient Occupational Therapy on the Shawnee Mission Kansas Campus since 1985 and earned Certification of Hand Therapy from the American Society of Hand Therapists in 1996. Special interests include trauma with wound care, splinting, Dupuytrens releases, orthopedic rehab of fractures, and bicep tendon repairs.

Outside of work, Esther enjoys scuba diving, Dali her Rescued Greyhound, quilting, photography and wine tasting, maybe not in that order. In addition to making the hand and arm better, Esther is good at finding the areas in which the patient would like to improve while making the rehab process personalized and rewarding. This is why patients and doctors request Esther. Her philosophy is that patients are more likely to return for the next therapy visit if they look forward to therapy and if they see the value and benefit.
